YOUNG CHANGEMAKERS |
The Young ChangeMakers (YCM) is a grant scheme set up to ignite youth passion for community change in Singapore .
It aims to provide seed funding of up to 80% of project cost, or $3,000, whichever is lower, and non-monetary support for young people to initiate and implement projects, which benefit the local community and society.
It empowers youths as decision makers and foster youth development through involvement in these community projects.
Applications are open throughout the year and should be submitted at least one month before the date of the proposed project. |
It is open to any youth aged 13 to 35 who wish to embark on projects benefiting the community in Singapore , either as an informal group or as an individual
If your application is successful, a mentor will be assigned to you as you implement your community project
Projects are to benefit the local community and society at large, open to youths of all gender, races and religious denominations.
Content message should not be offensive or carry any racial, political, religious implications.
Projects should be organised on a cost sharing basis, i.e. with other sources of funding besides Young ChangeMakers.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT FUND |
The Youth Development Fund (YDF) is a grant scheme to help Youth Organisations initiate and implement projects which benefit the community and society. It encourages the youths in Youth Organisations to get together as a team to conceptualise, plan and carry out projects that benefit others.
The project must involve BOTH youth development AND community service.
Applications are open throughout the year and should be submitted at least one month before the date of the proposed project.

Group effort initiated and implemented by youths not older than 35 years old.
Project must be open to youths of all gender, races and religious denominations.
Content/message of the project should not be offensive or carry contain any racial, political and or religious implications.
The project should be organised on a cost-sharing basis, not exceeding 50% of the allowable project budget.
Projects should be innovative, sustainable and have large-scale with wide outreach.

YOUTH ORGANISATION CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT FUND (YOCDF) |
The YOCDF seeks to enhance the long-term capability of youth organisations (YOs).
By giving incentives and value-added assistance worth up to $70,000 per project through three different schemes, YOCDF aims to help youth organisations embark on capacity-building and organisation-strengthening initiatives.
The three schemes of YOCDF are :
- Youth Organisation Development (YOD) Scheme
- Youth Development Tools and Curriculum (YDT&C) Scheme
- Young Social Entrepreneur (YSE) Incubator Scheme

Non-profit group or organisation which is a registered society or affiliated to a registered society, government agency, self-help group or Voluntary welfare organisation.

YOUTH RESEARCH FUND |
The Youth Research Fund supports studies that will add to our collective understanding of youth trends and issues.

Application is open to professional groups and all students doing their undergraduate honours project or graduate dissertation.
The study should add to our current understanding of youth trends and issues.
The study should be undertaken on a civic and voluntary basis and the findings not used for commercial gains.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT GRANT (YLDG) |
The Youth Leadership Development Grant (YLDG) is a training grant scheme that supports the development of leadership capabilities in youths, empowering them to serve and be actively involved in the community.
It aims to increase youths' sense of community involvement and ownership, by linking leadership development training for youths to hands-on service involvement in the community.
YLDG funds up to 60% of the total training costs, capped at $300 per youth per year, whichever is lower.
Applications are open throughout the year and should be submitted at least 3 weeks before the training starts.

Note:
(i) Training programmes by other training providers not included on our recommended list may be eligible for the YLDG. Please inform them to submit a YLDG certification form.
(ii) A training provider will need to be YLDG-certified before we can process your YLDG application.

Youths (aged 13-30 years old) attending leadership development programmes can apply for this grant.
The training programmes should aim to train and equip youths with competencies to provide community services and/or lead community projects. They should be at least four hours and may be in various formats depending on the needs of the youths.
The core modules (make up at least 50% of the training programme) should include:
(a) Leadership development; AND
(b) Community project management and/or Service-Learning application

OVERSEAS YOUTH PROGRAMME GRANT (OYPG) |
The Overseas Youth Programme Grant supports overseas youth programmes that encourage youth development and benefit the community. |
Youths and youth organisations who are keen on connecting themselves with the regional and international youth scene.
Overseas projects must have the element of youth development.

SINGAPORE– ASEAN YOUTH FUND |
The Singapore-ASEAN Youth Fund was created to promote greater interaction among youth within the ASEAN member countries. The Fund supports partnerships among ASEAN youth and Youth Sector Organisations (YSOs), thus contributing to greater understanding and closer ties within the ASEAN community. The Fund aims to foster ASEAN unity in ASEAN youth and promote greater awareness of ASEAN internationally. The objectives of the fund are to:
- To promote ASEAN youth interaction and develop ASEAN youths between the age of 15 and 35 through participation in ASEAN youth projects;
- To promote greater understanding of ASEAN member countries among ASEAN youth; and
- To encourage youth sector organisations to network with one another, share best practices and partner one another in joint youth projects to foster greater community building efforts.

The fund is open to Youth Sector organisations and National Youth Focal Points from ASEAN member countries. YSOs must obtain endorsement from their respective National Youth Focal Points.
Application is open throughout the year and must be submitted 2 to 3 months before project start date.
The Singapore-ASEAN Youth Fund encourages projects that are in line with the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Plan of Action under the Vientiane Action Plan (VAP). The fund will support projects that come under the 4 key areas of focus in the ASCC Plan of Action, especially the programme areas led or supported by the Senior Officials Meeting on Youth (SOMY).
There are 3 funding group types: Group A (Community Service Projects), Group B (Camps, Workshops, YSO to YSO capability development projects) and Group C (ASEAN level sporting or cultural events/festivals)

YOUTH EXPEDITION PROJECT |
The Youth Expedition Project (YEP) has been a key programme to encourage volunteerism among our youth since its inception in 2000. YEP supports youth to embark on community service projects with the objectives of building up self-confident youth volunteers who can identify needs and contribute to the community both at home and abroad.

In line with the objective of empowering the sector to build sustainable partnerships and youth-led initiatives, the Youth Expedition Project (YEP) provides funding for projects, training and sector development.
Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), Youth Organisations (YOs), Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs), Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs), and grassroots/community organisations are welcome to apply for these grants.
