Singapore Youth Award

The Singapore Youth Award is the highest national youth honour in Singapore.

This is an annual ceremony that confers national honour upon youths in Singapore who have significantly achieved excellence and contributed to the society. These are the youths who have brought prestige to the nation in the following fields:

- Arts & Culture
- Community & Youth Services
- Entrepreneurship
- Science & Technology, and
- Sports & Adventure.

The Singapore Youth Award is held on the first Sunday of July at the Istana, which is the official residence of the President of the Republic of Singapore.

Check out the Singapore Youth Award website for information on the SYA Hall of Fame and how you can nominate someone you think is worthy of this accolade.

Outstanding Youth in Education Award

The Outstanding Youth in Education Award (OYEA) is presented by the National Youth Council and supported by the Ministry of Education. This award honours the achievements of young educators who have a passion and commitment to teaching, inspiring and nurturing their students.

Every year, the Minister for Education confers the Outstanding Youth in Education Award at the Teachers' Investiture Ceremony.

Youth Ambassador Scheme

The NYC's Youth Ambassador is Ms Kit Chan, a performing artiste and poet who has successfully established a presence in the regional Chinese pop scene. Kit is a trailblazer and an inspiration for many young performing artistes.

Kit also contributes to the community in spite of her hectic schedule. She has been involved in projects such as the Taiwan's "Victims of the Earthquake" project, and a project to build a playground and latrines for a primary school in Cambodia.

Kit's determination to succeed and active involvement in the community make her an ideal role model for youth in Singapore
